A Biblical View of Marriage in Modern Culture (a conversation with Kate Jones)

The way we speak to ourselves is important – so is the way we THINK about ourselves. The mindset we choose to embody determines the way we view our life, and the way we view our life determines the life we have.

Just like the mindset we have towards ourselves is important, so is the mindset we have towards our husbands and our marriage. If you subscribe to the “one flesh” teachings in the bible, then you must realize that your husband is spiritually a part of you. The way you think or talk about him, is the way you are thinking and talking about yourself. One flesh.

I was blessed with the privilege to have this amazing discussion about marriage, the bible and the loves of our lives with Kate Jones (@kates_encouragement). Kate shares with us the honest truths of her experience and thoughts on how we should look at marriage through a biblical scope. She is full of wisdom and passion for God and His Word.

In this recorded live on IGTV – Kate and I discussed our frustration with the typical society view of “husbands are useless,” how we feel about women trash-talking behind their husbands’ backs, what it means when the honeymoon phase is over, the importance of prioritizing your marriage, and so much more.
