51: How To Stop Stressing About Your Overwhelming To-Do List

51: How to Stop Stressing About Your Overwhelming To-Do List Meant to Bloom: personal growth for hot mess moms

I know that to-do list is insane right now and you want to get a lot of things done before the holidays consume you… You feel pulled in so many directions with a 1000 things you have to do. I’m here to slap you in the face in the best way I know how. My friend, you don’t HAVE to do anything. I want you to see the power in your perception, alter the way you view reality and wake up to the realization that you WANT to do those things you plan to do.

I spent last weekend at the EmpowerHer Live event coordinated by Kacia Ghetmiri and to say it was amazing was an understatement. I’m here to do the dang thing and I hope you’re ready for a whole lot of encouragement coming your way!

You Don’t Have To DO Anything.

You literally don’t HAVE to do anything. You want to though, and I’m going to show you that today.

You see, as frustrating as that mile long to-do list is, I want you to realize those are things you WANT to do. There is no one forcing you to do them, and even then, you’d have a choice. You always have a choice.

You don’t have to do the dishes, you want to have clean dishes to eat from.

You don’t have to do the laundry, you want to have clean clothes to wear.

You don’t have to go grocery shopping, you want to have food to eat.

You don’t have to clean the house, you want to live in a clean house.

It’s always a choice.

The alternative may be something that feels like it’s not an option, but honestly it is. It may be an undesirable outcome, it may be a consequence that makes life more difficult, yeah. In some cases, like breathing and eating, it could even lead to death. But it’s still a choice.

“Your perception can either be your power or your prison.” Trent Shelton

You don’t have to be a mom. You could quit and leave and walk away from it all. But you don’t want to. You want to stay and be the best mom you can.

Stop letting your blessings become burdens. Quit perverting the purpose. Don’t overlook what you have in lieu of what you want. Get grounded in gratitude and see the blessings and abundance around you right now!

I want you to find empowerment in the fact that every single thing you do, is done by choice. You get to decide everything you do. If you truly wanted to stop, you could. You may not like the result, but you could quit everything.

I want you to find freedom in this realization. I want you to see that you’re in the driver’s seat here. You are designing your life by the choices you make each day. If you’re not happy with your life, it’s time to dissect the choices being made.

Annie Dillard says “How you spend your days is, of course, how you spend your life.”

So are your days aligned with the life you want to be living?
