Our thoughts are more powerful than we realize! ✨

Our thoughts are more powerful than we realize! ✨
Have you ever stopped and questioned your inner voice?

Start to pay attention to how you speak to yourself. Is your inner voice encouraging you as it would someone you love? Or is it constantly tearing you down and creating problems where there were none?

We know self esteem is an issue for teen girls, and I think we all expected to grow out of it. But now I’m thinking we just learned to live with it.

That ever critical voice inside that beats us up for a simple mistake, the one that won’t let us forget that one time years ago when we said something stupid, the voice that tells us we’re not qualified or capable.

Don’t let this voice create problems for you, don’t let this voice guide you through the storms.
How do we overcome this voice? Give her a name. Name this voice after someone you’d never take advice or criticism from.

I call my critical inner voice – often the voice of imposter syndrome – Gretchen, because she’s a “mean girl.”

She pretends to try to keep me safe and to be my friend, but really she just doesn’t want me to be better than her.

Your turn 👇🏻
What do you call your critical inner voice? How do you keep her quiet??
